17 Palestinians who resided illegally at Jerusalem school arrested

On Thursday, Israeli police arrested 17 Palestinian illegal residents from Judea and Samaria who had established an improvised lodging compound within a school in Beit Safafa, a Jerusalem Arab neighborhood. The suspects created rooms, beds, and showers in the school building. The operation followed complaints from parents to the community-policing commander regarding unauthorized individuals in the school after hours, coinciding with summer camps. The school's security officer, Naim, stated that a guard discovered mattresses and personal belongings, leading to police involvement. Chief Inspector Yasser Swead highlighted the importance of community cooperation in addressing such concerns and protecting children.
