23% of Israelis 'considering leaving if Netanyahu re-elected'

A recent poll on Israeli television's Channel 12 indicates that 23% of Israelis are considering leaving the country if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is re-elected in the upcoming October elections. Conversely, 68% stated they would not leave, while 9% were unsure. The survey also revealed that over two-thirds of participants opposed several laws recently passed by Netanyahu's governing coalition, including legislation to enshrine Torah study as a quasi-constitutional value and to protect ultra-Orthodox draft dodgers from arrest. The Knesset dissolved yesterday after passing a series of bills, including those related to West Bank settlements, and will not reconvene before the October 27 elections.
