66% of Jewish New Yorkers oppose Mamdani, 75% against Democratic Socialists of America, new poll suggests

A Siena University poll of 811 likely gubernatorial voters in New York, conducted from August 3-6, indicates that 51% of Jewish New Yorkers believe the state is headed in the wrong direction. The poll found that 66% of Jewish voters disapprove of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and 75% disapprove of the Democratic Socialists of America. While 53% of Jewish New Yorkers believe the country's best years are ahead, only 42% feel the same about New York. In the gubernatorial race, Jewish voters preferred Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul over Republican Bruce Blakeman by 49% to 42%, though 48% thought Blakeman was more likely to ensure safety compared to 44% for Hochul. Additionally, 52% of Jewish New Yorkers would vote for a Democrat in congressional elections, while 41% would vote Republican.
