A ‘Hidden Hand’ is guiding an antisemitic propaganda war

The global rise in antisemitism following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks was not spontaneous but a coordinated effort, according to JNS editor-in-chief Jonathan Tobin and Canadian political consultant Warren Kinsella. On the “Think Twice” podcast, Kinsella, author of “The Hidden Hand: The Information War and the Rise of Antisemitic Propaganda,” argues that this campaign to rationalize Hamas and demonize Israel is akin to a political campaign, funded by Qatari and other Middle Eastern Islamist sources, as well as various NGOs and charities. He states that this sophisticated plan utilizes social media algorithms to influence young people and believes the mainstream media has largely ignored it. Kinsella, who is not Jewish, emphasizes that this Islamist hate threatens the West, not just Israel, and urges Israel to improve its messaging to counter the antisemitic narrative.
