A secret bot army is boosting Mamdani on X, and it seems to be coming from City Hall – exclusive

The World Zionist Organization (WZO) has exclusively informed The Jerusalem Post that dozens of suspected bot accounts on X are amplifying content from NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his associates, with their activity reportedly traceable to City Hall IP infrastructure. Cyber experts consulted by The Post are "100% sure" of the IP address origin, though evidence of who controls the accounts or if city officials direct their activity is not established. The WZO's analysis identified hundreds of accounts exhibiting unusual patterns, such as hundreds of daily posts, high rates of repeated sharing (often 96-100%), newly created profiles, and partial descriptions, all consistently amplifying content from Mayor Mamdani and related city accounts. This pattern, according to analysts, significantly boosts exposure beyond organic reach, creating a self-reinforcing cycle of algorithmic exposure and user engagement. The WZO plans to appeal to the US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism to forward these findings to US law enforcement for investigation. Yifat Ovadia-Luski, head of the WZO's Department for Combating Antisemitism, stated, "There is a need for a thorough, professional, and independent investigation into these hate-amplification operations." Mark Goldfeder of the National Jewish Advocacy Center is also referring the matter to relevant city departments, emphasizing that "City employees may not use public resources for political messaging."
