A study in "Public Relations Review" found that British Jewish public relations professionals faced an "impossible choice" after October 7, 2023. Based on interviews with 10 professionals, the study by Lee Edwards of the London School of Economics and Political Science concluded that "organizational silence" marginalized Jewish voices. This silence forced individuals to either remain invisible or speak out and risk antisemitic responses. Participants also felt that antisemitism was not given the same attention as other forms of discrimination, leading to feelings of injustice. One participant noted, "I think people are legitimately scared to do anything around antisemitism, because it will be deemed unpopular." The study, conducted from October to December 2024, also highlighted the tension between their British and Jewish identities and their place within organizational communities.
