Air Canada extends flight suspensions to Tel Aviv and Dubai through mid-January 2027

Air Canada has extended its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv (TLV) and Dubai (DXB) until mid-January 2027, citing regional instability. The airline initially halted these routes on March 2, 2026, following the outbreak of war with Iran on February 28. This latest extension follows a previous pause until October 24, 2026. The Canadian government advises its citizens to "avoid non-essential travel" to several Middle Eastern nations, including Israel, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, and Oman, due to security concerns related to the conflict. Many other countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia, also have travel advisories for Israel.
