This initiative follows discussions during Ukraine's independence day celebrations in Kyiv, where Burnham pledged stronger military support, including access to classified technology for Storm Shadow missile production. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the urgent need for at least 300 Patriot interceptors before winter, citing a $27 billion defense funding gap and appealing for financial aid, potentially from frozen Russian assets. French President Emmanuel Macron also urged accelerated deliveries of interceptors, stating, "I think it's very important that all of us accelerate in terms of delivery." The Kremlin, in response to Britain's decision to share classified technology, warned it would "add fuel to the fire" of worsening relations.
