Anthropic nears $6 billion deal for Israeli AI startup Decart, creating new billionaires

This acquisition is expected to create at least two new billionaires, founders Dean Leitersdorf and Moshe Shalev, who along with Orian Leitersdorf, are projected to receive between $1 billion and $1.5 billion each. The founders opted for a lower offer from Anthropic, primarily in shares, over a higher cash offer from Nvidia, anticipating greater returns from Anthropic's planned IPO. Decart is expected to become Anthropic's second R&D center outside the US, focusing on improving the efficiency of Anthropic's models on various chips.
