At least 25 missing after boat carrying migrants partially sinks off coast of southern Greek island

Approximately 25 individuals are missing after a migrant boat partially sank south of the Greek island of Gavdos on Sunday. The Greek Coast Guard reported that 51 foreign nationals were rescued, and one was found unconscious. Survivors indicated there were 77 people on board, and search efforts are ongoing with the involvement of multiple vessels and Frontex boats.

In a separate incident on Sunday, at least one person died and over 30 are missing after the MV Matui ferry sank off the coast of Vanuatu. Vanuatu Prime Minister Jotham Napat's office confirmed the incident, stating that 15 people have been accounted for alive as search and rescue operations continue in the Pacific Island nation.
