Bar Asraf found deceased in apparent suicide at grave of girlfriend killed in October 7 massacre

Bar Asraf, 30, died by suicide at the grave of his girlfriend, Liron Barda, who was murdered at the Nova festival during the October 7 massacre. Asraf, from Sha'arei Tikva, struggled significantly with Barda's death, with his sister, Lihi, noting, "He has a tattoo of her, she was a part of his soul." His family found him at Barda's grave after he left a family wedding celebration. Lihi recounted, "I walked over, and suddenly I saw him lying next to Liron's grave... then I realized he was covered in blood." Barda and Asraf were described as "soulmates since childhood" by his mother, Bracha. The Sha'ar Shomron Local Council extended its condolences to the Asraf family.
