Belgian authorities have detained a 52-year-old dual Chinese and Belgian national on suspicion of espionage related to semiconductor technology. The man, a former employee of the now-bankrupt Belgian microchip maker BELGAN BV, was arrested in May at Zaventem airport while attempting to board a flight to Beijing. He is currently in pre-trial detention.
