Political analysts suggest that while the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was a central theme for Bush, it was not the top concern for voters in the district, who prioritized local issues like the cost of living and the economy.

Bush, in her concession speech, vowed to continue her fight against AIPAC, billionaires, and corporations.
