BGU appoints Melissa B. Greenberg as CEO of Americans for Ben-Gurion University

Americans for Ben-Gurion University (A4BGU) has appointed Melissa B. Greenberg as its new chief executive officer. Greenberg, a veteran in higher education and Jewish philanthropy, previously served as vice president for institutional advancement at Hebrew Union College, where she significantly increased philanthropic revenue. She is tasked with leading A4BGU's support for Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), focusing on its impact in advancing discoveries, educating leaders, and developing the Negev region, aligning with David Ben-Gurion's vision. BGU President Daniel Chamovitz stated, "Melissa will not only lead our team in the United States, but will build partnerships and bridges with our associates and supporters around the world." Greenberg expressed her honor to strengthen philanthropic partnerships, noting that "the university embodies humanitarian ideals and the belief that a Jewish state can be a light unto the nations through its contributions to humanity."
