Border Police officer Sergeant David Hoyer Amrani, 20, was shot and killed in Netanya's Kiryat Hasharon area on Saturday. An unidentified suspect, reportedly an IDF soldier, opened fire at a police unit and was neutralized by officers. Sgt. Amrani, a Netanya resident, had joined the Judea and Samaria Border Police in August 2024 for his compulsory military service. His motives remain unclear as police are in the initial stages of investigation.
- Later on Saturday, a man in his 40s was stabbed in Jaffa, Tel Aviv, and evacuated to Wolfson Medical Center. Police are investigating the circumstances and searching for suspects.
- On Friday, a 21-year-old Herzliya resident was arrested in connection with a shooting in a residential building lobby in the city center. A scooter without a license plate, possibly used in the shooting, was found near the suspect.
