British Embassy showcases UK gin as exports to Israel approach £4m.
The “Distilling Excellence: UK Gin Showcase” brought together Israeli distributors, retailers, hospitality professionals, and representatives from the food and drink industry.
The British Embassy in Israel and the UK Department for Business and Trade hosted a "Distilling Excellence: UK Gin Showcase" in Tel Aviv on Monday to strengthen commercial ties between UK distilleries and the Israeli market. The event connected Israeli distributors, retailers, and hospitality professionals with British gin producers for tastings and meetings. UK gin exports to Israel in bottles up to two liters were valued at £3.99 million in 2024, representing over 75% of Israel's imported gin. British Ambassador to Israel Simon Walters stated, "Israel is an important market for British gin, with growing demand for premium brands and distinctive products." The UK, with over 1,000 distilleries, accounts for more than half of global gin exports, which reached £602 million in 2025.
