CAM Alerts Harvard Museum After Word ‘Israel’ Appears Scratched Over on Exhibit Label

The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) alerted the Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East after a visitor discovered the word “Israel” appeared to be scratched over on an exhibit label. CAM CEO Sacha Roytman stated this could be “targeted erasure of the name of the Jewish state from a museum display.” The museum director, Professor Peter Der Manuelian, confirmed an investigation is underway, a replacement label has been ordered, and enhanced security procedures are being implemented to prevent future vandalism.
