Campaign Against Antisemitism documentary exposes antisemitism in British healthcare system

A new documentary, "Malignant: Antisemitism in the NHS," by Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) exposes widespread antisemitism within Britain's National Health Service. Released Monday, the film features testimonies from Jewish NHS practitioners and patients detailing incidents such as a senior Jewish medical professor receiving death threats and a Jewish emergency worker being physically attacked. One patient recounted a surgeon making antisemitic remarks during an operation, stating, "the Jews, the Jews should know better, the Jews do it just for fun they shoot children in the head or the leg on a for fun." Stephen Silverman, CAA's Director of Investigations, noted that doctors with Jewish-sounding names are hiding their identity, and requests for kosher meals have halved. A CAA poll reveals 65% of British Jews are concerned about unequal care due to their identity, with one-third feeling uncomfortable in the NHS since October 7, 2023. Lord John Mann's 2026 review also found that Jewish staff are the only religious group experiencing rising discrimination from colleagues.
