Children chant 'we will crush Zionism' at Palestinian Youth Movement summer school in UK

The British chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) held a Summer School over the May bank holiday, gathering over 100 Arab youth. During the event, participants chanted "we will crush Zionism" and "young people, rise up, our revolution is an Arab revolution." The PYM, which organizes Palestinian and Arab youth for "Palestinian liberation," stated on Instagram that discussions focused on the region's recent events, the Palestine movement in Britain, and the role of diaspora youth in the "national liberation struggle." Concerns about radicalization were raised, particularly given the display of a quote from PFLP member Ghassan Kanafani and a recent football tournament where a coach wore a "decolonial" shirt, with two players wearing numbers '10' and '7', interpreted by some as a reference to the October 7 massacre. The Israeli government claims PYM has close ties to the PFLP and Samidoun, a recognized terrorist organization, a claim supported by a 2019 French court ruling.
