Chris Pappas projected to win New Hampshire Democratic nomination to the US Senate

US Representative Chris Pappas secured the Democratic nomination for the US Senate in New Hampshire, defeating progressive challenger Karishma Manzur. Pappas, a four-term congressman, garnered 61.9% of the vote to Manzur's 36.1%, with the Associated Press calling the race an hour after polls closed. He will now face Republican John Sununu in the general election for the seat currently held by retiring Senator Jeanne Shaheen.
"Today, the voters of New Hampshire have sent a clear message: they're fed up with what's happening in our politics, and they're ready for change," Pappas told supporters.
The campaign, along with two neighboring US House primaries, featured discussions critical of Israel and AIPAC. In the 2nd congressional district, incumbent Rep. Maggie Goodlander also won her primary decisively. The 1st congressional district primary, however, remained too close to call between Stefany Shaheen and Maura Sullivan. Candidates in these races expressed varying views on Israel, with some blaming Israel for the Gaza war and others asserting its right to self-defense, and several criticized AIPAC.
