Coalition strengthens as People of Israel crosses threshold, despite Likud dropping one seat – poll

A recent Maariv poll, conducted by Lazar Research in cooperation with Panel4ALL on September 9-10, indicates a strengthening of the coalition bloc by three seats to 50, primarily due to the People of Israel party crossing the electoral threshold. This occurred despite Likud losing one seat, dropping to 19. The Zionist opposition bloc holds 58 seats, and Arab parties have 12. The poll also found a significant drop in undecided voters from 11% to 7.5% after party lists were finalized. Additionally, Gadi Eisenkot maintains a double-digit lead over Benjamin Netanyahu for prime ministerial suitability, with 50% favoring Eisenkot compared to 38% for Netanyahu. Most respondents, 79%, stated they would remain in Israel even if their chosen party did not join the government.
