Colombia earthquake ‘reminded me of Israel’s sirens and bombs,’ Israeli in Bogota tells 'Post'

A 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck Colombia's Choco province on Monday at 7:34 a.m. local time, killing at least 21 people and trapping others. The epicenter was near San José del Palmar, at a depth of 79 km. Israeli resident Fernando Chaim Bisker, who was in Bogotá with his family, described the experience as frightening, stating, "It reminded me of Israel with the sirens and the bombs." Despite the fear, Bisker recounted a "beautiful" moment where locals on the street, upon seeing him in a kippah, began shouting "Viva Israel" and asking him to bless them, which he found very touching.
