Hegseth briefed Katz on US military operations in Iran, and they agreed to continue cooperation. Katz, in turn, briefed Hegseth on Israel's operations against terrorist groups in Syria, Gaza, and Lebanon, emphasizing Israel's determination to maintain security zones in these areas for self-defense against "threats posed by jihadist forces."
