Complainant goes public in sexual misconduct allegations against Karim Khan

An International Criminal Court (ICC) employee, identified as "Sarah," publicly accused Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan of sexual misconduct in a CNN interview. Sarah, a Malaysian lawyer and mother, described an "escalation of attempts" including groping and nonconsensual sexual acts, stating, "There is no way for something to be consensual when you have such a power disparity." She recounted an incident in Bogotá where Khan allegedly entered her hotel room and groped her. Khan's lead counsel, Sareta Ashraph, stated, "Mr. Khan has denied and continues to deny them in their entirety." Khan was suspended by the ICC's oversight body and as a barrister in the U.K. The allegations against Khan first emerged in 2024, and he had issued arrest warrants for Israeli leaders in November 2024.
