The author presents two examples: Rabbi Reuven Wabashat, a respected rabbinical judge and scholar, and Fentay Maharat-Alamu, a former diplomat and author. The article asserts that "leadership should be determined by knowledge, character, preparation, service, and vision" and that many qualified Ethiopian Israelis already exist, but institutions often fail to recognize them.
