Court bars solitary confinement for Agam Tsarafi, rebukes IPS over prison video

The Tel Aviv District Court has barred the Israel Prison Service (IPS) from holding Agam Tsarafi, a 19-year-old defendant in the Benyahu Razi murder case, in solitary confinement. The court limited her separation from the general prison population to six additional days, requiring her to be housed with at least one other detainee. Judge Gilad Hess sharply criticized a circulated video showing Tsarafi handcuffed and led by masked officers, stating the action appeared excessive and harmed her dignity. The court largely upheld restrictions on her telephone access based on classified intelligence. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir had defended the IPS, alleging Tsarafi disrupted order and mistreated others.
