Deadly weekend on Israeli roads: At least two killed, six injured in crashes nationwide

Two people died and six were injured in multiple traffic accidents across Israel over the weekend. On Saturday, a man in his 40s was killed in a hit-and-run on Route 553 near Moshav Porat; the driver, a woman in her 30s, was arrested. Overnight Friday, a 48-year-old motorcyclist died on Highway 7 at the Sorek Interchange. Other incidents on Friday included a 4-year-old boy critically injured in Pisgat Ze'ev, a two-vehicle collision on Route 3755 leaving one seriously injured and two with moderate injuries, and a 30-year-old man critically injured near Caesarea Port. In Netanya, a motorcyclist was severely injured after being hit by a car. MDA paramedic Orian Lukac described one incident as "a severe accident. Witnesses told us the motorcyclist was hit by a vehicle."
