'Deals happen outside meetings': Hakibbutz unveils first Israeli startup home in New York City

Hakibbutz has launched New York City's first dedicated home for Israeli startups, aiming to serve as a central hub for the nearly 470 Israeli companies operating in the city. Developed in collaboration with Israeli Mapped in NY, the Chelsea-based facility is designed to foster connections among founders, startups, investors, and corporations. Amir Wolner, Founder and CEO of Hakibbutz, stated, "We didn't want to build just another office space. We wanted to create a place that people and companies genuinely want to be part of." The initiative will also host events to support Israeli entrepreneurs expanding into the New York market. Guy Franklin, founder of Israeli Mapped in NY, emphasized the need for such a space, noting, "Once you have nearly 470 Israeli startups in New York, it's time they have a home."
