DEI seeped into the faculties of education, corrupting basic Western values

The article argues that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, particularly within university faculties of education, have been corrupted by post-colonial and Marxist critical theories, leading to the promotion of antisemitism and a rejection of Western rationality. It contends that DEI's critique of Western knowledge, without offering alternative coherent criteria, creates an environment susceptible to conspiracy theories and antisemitic anti-Zionism. The author highlights the failure of many DEI offices to address the sexual violence of the October 7th Hamas attacks and points to studies suggesting teacher educators lack tools to combat antisemitism. The article concludes by urging faculties of education to re-evaluate their role and prioritize the quality and rigor of ideas to avoid the "incoherences of DEI and the threats of antisemitism that accompany it."
