Delta and United returning to Israel

Delta and United Airlines are resuming flights to Israel this week after suspending service due to the war in Iran. Delta will offer daily flights from New York (JFK) starting Sunday, while United will restart with two daily flights from Newark on Tuesday, adding a third in November. This follows the return of most major European airlines and is expected to increase competition on transatlantic routes, potentially lowering airfares after the fall holiday season. However, Mark Feldman, CEO of Ziontours, noted, "It is curious that while Delta has aggressively been marketing their return with attractive fares, United has taken the opposite approach." Flights from Chicago and Washington, D.C. will resume in October, and Atlanta in December, with American Airlines delaying its return until next spring.
