Dem congressmen demand Malaysia cease ‘hunt down’ of Jews

Eight Democratic U.S. congressmen, led by Reps. Greg Landsman and Josh Gottheimer, wrote to Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Tuesday, urging him to compel Malaysia to cease its "hunt down" of Jews. This action follows Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's declaration last week that his government would track down and deport Israeli citizens. The congressmen stated, "It is totally unacceptable that a head of government has publicly declared that his country will hunt down and expel citizens of our close ally based solely on their nationality." They also highlighted Malaysia's ties with Hamas and its welcoming of terrorists while targeting Jews. The letter called for a review of the U.S. security and economic relationship with Malaysia and recommended suspending international military education and training funding if Malaysia does not reverse its policy within 15 days. This development comes after Malaysian regulators revoked the operating license of Network School, a tech startup, following accusations of hosting Israeli dual-passport holders, despite the company's founder, Balaji Srinivasan, confirming that all individuals possessed valid immigration documents.
