Democratic Socialists of America platform backs Palestinian ‘right to resist’

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) recently launched its "Workers Deserve More" national program, outlining a comprehensive political vision that includes significant foreign and domestic policy changes. The program advocates for the Palestinian "right to resist military occupation" and "right of return," while demanding an end to all US military and economic aid to Israel and calling for the prosecution of US and Israeli leaders for "genocide in Gaza." Domestically, the DSA's platform proposes abolishing the US Senate, replacing the presidency and Supreme Court, and implementing public ownership of major industries, wealth taxes, and universal social programs. DSA leaders stated that support for this platform will be a requirement for endorsed candidates, with one leader quoted saying, "Having our endorsed candidates supporting the program, it’s a requirement now."
