Dozens of complaints, zero prosecutions: Hind Rajab fails to prosecute IDF soldiers analysis

The pro-Palestine legal body, Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF), has filed at least 86 criminal complaints against IDF soldiers in 30 countries over the past two and a half years, including a recent petition in India. These complaints, often based on social media footage, accuse soldiers of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Gaza. While HRF's “lawfare” tactics have led to some substantive actions, such as detentions, questioning, and preliminary investigations in countries like Belgium, Peru, Brazil, and Canada, no foreign indictments, prosecutions, trials, or convictions have resulted from any of these complaints as of Wednesday. The campaign aims to achieve legal action and raise the visibility of HRF's cause, generating pressure and occasional disruption for individual soldiers.
