Dutch cinema drops Oct. 7 screening of 'NAZA'

Filmhuis Lumen in Delft, Netherlands, removed an October 7 screening of the documentary “NAZA” from its schedule following online criticism. The film, which won the Special Jury Prize at the Venice International Film Festival, portrays Israeli soldiers as war criminals and alleges systematic targeting of Palestinian civilians during the Gaza conflict. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the film as “intolerable” and “terrible,” stating it “slanders IDF soldiers.” The October 7 date would have coincided with the third anniversary of Hamas's massacres. Despite the removal of the October 7 showing, Filmhuis Lumen still plans to screen “NAZA” on October 4 and October 11. The theater has a history of showing anti-Israel films.
