Eight countries welcome UK decision to ban imports from West Bank settlements

Eight countries, including Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, have welcomed the UK's decision to ban imports from Israeli settlements in the West Bank and impose service restrictions. They expressed hope that this action would encourage other nations to follow suit. These countries also supported a joint statement from 12 nations advocating for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The ministers reiterated their call for Israel to reverse all measures related to settlement activities that alter the demographic character of the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Palestinian officials described the UK's decision as a “significant political achievement.”
