Elections Committee, Employment Service announce effort to hire thousands of election personnel

The Central Elections Committee and the Employment Service announced a joint initiative on Friday to recruit thousands of individuals for election-related roles for the upcoming October 27 elections. Positions include polling site staff, technical support, and logistics personnel. The initiative prioritizes hiring people with disabilities, those displaced by recent conflicts, and individuals injured in the wars. Attorney Din Livne, Acting Director General of the Central Elections Committee, stated, “We are already working to ensure that every polling station is staffed with professional, skilled, and capable personnel.” Inbal Mashash, Director General of the Employment Service, emphasized the importance of broad societal participation for both a strong labor market and a sound democratic process.
