End Jew Hatred petition New York Governor Hochul to remove Mamdani over Manhattan stabbings

The End Jew Hatred movement has launched a petition urging New York Governor Kathy Hochul to remove New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani under Section 9 of the New York Public Officers Law. This action follows violent incidents in Manhattan, including the July 23 stabbings of Chok Sung and Moshe Grunhaus on the Upper West Side, which activists attribute to the administration's alleged failure to protect minorities and its public safety record. The petition highlights Mamdani's revocation of the city's antisemitism framework and a subsequent 12% rise in hate crimes, with 55% targeting Jews. Additionally, it cites the mayor's use of official channels to declare Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a "war criminal" and his veto of school safety legislation.

Journalist Zack Sage Fox stated, "We are standing outside of Kathy Hochul's office to demand proceedings to remove Mayor Mamdani."

Activist Anila Ali criticized Mamdani's ideology, saying, "He is representing a very toxic ideology, which is the DSA, the Islamists, that's not acceptable to the majority of Muslims living in America." New York State Assemblyman Michael Novakhov also announced a formal complaint to the US Department of Justice, vowing to hold Mamdani "accountable for fueling antisemitism in New York."
