Erdogan calls Gaza suffering 'most embarrassing concentration camp' in UNGA speech

During his address to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan criticized the UN's inability to maintain peace and advocated for Security Council reform. He stated, "The United Nations, established 81 years ago to maintain peace and security, has become unable to fulfill this mission." Erdogan also condemned the situation in Gaza, describing it as "our time's most inhumane, most embarrassing concentration camp." He urged nations to recognize a Palestinian state and increase pressure on Israel to end the conflict, asserting that "No one who holds humanity, compassion, and mercy in their heart... can turn a blind eye" to the events in Gaza.
