A report by StopAntisemitism, shared exclusively with JNS, found that TikTok had the most effective response to antisemitic content among three major social media platforms, followed by Instagram and then X. The nonprofit submitted weekly reports of violating content and accounts to each platform from July 2025 to July 2026. TikTok removed 49% of reported accounts and 48% of posts, demonstrating a broader enforcement approach, including removing antisemitic sounds. Instagram (owned by Meta) removed 33% of accounts and 40% of posts, often opting to remove individual posts rather than suspending repeat offenders. X removed only 12% of accounts and 17.5% of posts, frequently classifying reported antisemitic content as "political speech." Liora Rez, president and CEO of StopAntisemitism, stated, "We need to see more consistent enforcement, greater transparency and meaningful consequences for repeat offenders." The report calls for platforms to improve ban evasion detection, add more content moderation experts, and issue annual transparency reports.
