Expenses at Netanyahu’s 3 homes cost taxpayers NIS 2.7 million over past 18 months

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's three residences cost Israeli taxpayers over NIS 2.7 million ($880,000) between 2025 and mid-2026, according to data released after a freedom of information request. This figure covers staff salaries, renovations, landscaping, and food deliveries at his private homes in Jerusalem and Caesarea, and the official Balfour Street residence. Notable expenses included NIS 165,444 for food in 2025, increasing to over NIS 120,000 in the first half of 2026, with many orders via the Wolt app. Landscaping at the Caesarea home cost NIS 94,957 in 2025, and two bathtubs at the Azza Street home cost NIS 28,500 over 13 months. Netanyahu's office stated that "the data shows that overall expenses during Netanyahu’s term of office are significantly lower than those of previous prime ministers," though comparisons with former premiers' spending were disputed.
