Eyal Waldman backs Eisenkot, warns Netanyahu win could threaten Israel’s democracy, economy

Israeli hi-tech entrepreneur Eyal Waldman warned that a Benjamin Netanyahu victory in the upcoming election could threaten Israel's democracy and economy, potentially leading to an exodus of skilled workers. Speaking to Maariv, Waldman stated, "If Bibi wins the election, I believe Israel will be in serious trouble: without a properly functioning police force and without a Supreme Court. Israel may cease to be a democracy." He also expressed concern about long-term issues with parts of the settler movement and the Haredi community, advocating for a different government and hoping for an Eisenkot win. Waldman, whose daughter was killed on October 7, indicated he would consider entering politics if it were the only way to "save the country." He also discussed his current business activities through Waldo Holdings and his satisfaction with the sale of Mellanox to Nvidia, noting his optimism about Nvidia's growth driven by AI.
