Far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos deported to UK

British far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, 41, was deported to the United Kingdom on Friday after being arrested at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). According to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson, Yiannopoulos "chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation's laws" after legally entering the U.S. in May 2019. He failed to appear for an immigration hearing and was issued a final order of removal on July 22. Yiannopoulos, a vocal supporter of mass deportation efforts, had previously stated on social media, "We have got to deport millions and millions and millions of people. Without that, nothing else matters." He was reportedly in New Orleans ahead of a scheduled performance by rapper Ye, with whom he has close ties.
