‘Feelings in Between’ exhibition at Jerusalem Theater showcases artists with autism

The “Feelings in Between” exhibition at the Jerusalem Theater showcases collaborative paintings by young Israeli adults with autism from the Kfar Shimon residential facility near Beit Shemesh. The exhibition aims to provide insight into the artists' inner worlds, particularly for those who are nonverbal. Hannah Brown, a film critic and mother of one of the artists, noted that the collaborative nature of the pieces, with two to five people working on each, challenges stereotypes about autism, demonstrating their ability to interact and work together. Kfar Shimon director Oded Korati stated, “This is a way to say they feel a lot, they think a lot, they have a rich world that can be expressed to others.” The exhibition seeks to foster greater understanding and empathy for adults with autism among the public.
