A fire erupted in a residential building in Jerusalem's ultra-Orthodox Mea She'arim neighborhood, prompting a significant emergency response from firefighting teams, police, and medical personnel. Firefighters confirmed no residents were trapped inside the structure. Incident Commander Deputy Chief Shai Nehemia stated, "Firefighters acted decisively to tackle the intense fire in the temporary structure and conducted rapid searches that ruled out the presence of trapped people." Crews successfully rescued several Torah scrolls from the flames, though they sustained considerable damage. Efforts are now focused on fully extinguishing the fire.
