FJC opens new round of grants to strengthen infrastructure of Jewish camps

The Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) has opened applications for a new round of Gottesman Capital Expansion Grants, making approximately $6 million available for capital projects at Jewish day and overnight camps across North America. This funding is part of a multi-year, $15 million partnership with the Gottesman Fund, aimed at expanding camp capacity and addressing critical infrastructure needs like camper bunks, staff housing, and program spaces. Individual grants can reach up to $750,000, covering up to 50% of a project's total cost. FJC CEO Jamie Simon stated, "The unprecedented demand we saw in the first two rounds of funding shows how urgently camps need added capacity and stronger infrastructure." So far, over $8.5 million has been awarded to 28 camps in the first two rounds, creating space for more than 100 additional campers each summer. The application period for Round 3 interest forms closes on September 25.
