FM Sa'ar reveals links between Hamas, Global Sumud Flotilla at US summit on political terrorism

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar revealed connections between the Global Sumud Flotilla and Hamas at a US summit on political terrorism in Washington. Sa'ar asserted that the flotilla, which has repeatedly attempted to breach Israel's naval blockade on Gaza under the guise of humanitarian aid, actually serves the interests of terrorist organizations. He stated, "Hamas documents seized by the IDF indicate financing, operational involvement, and covert ownership of the vessels through a Spanish shell company." Sa'ar also highlighted two activists, Zaher Birawi and Thiago Avila, for their alleged ties to Hamas and Hezbollah, respectively. He concluded, "The evidence is clear. We have documented direct links between the flotilla's organizers and terrorist organizations."
