Following terror attack, Israeli forces arrest 70 suspects across Judea and Samaria

Following a deadly terror attack near Havat Gilad that killed two Israelis and wounded six, Israeli security forces arrested over 70 Palestinian suspects across Judea and Samaria overnight Saturday. Operations included a brigade-level sweep in Tell, the village of the attackers, where 11 suspects were detained. Other arrests targeted Hamas affiliates, individuals involved in explosive device attacks, Molotov cocktail attacks, and arms trafficking in regions including Nablus, Jenin, areas around Jerusalem, Ephraim, Tulkarem, and Gush Etzion.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir stated, "We are pursuing every terrorist involved in this attack. We will reach all of them and hold them accountable."

The main shooter was killed immediately after the attack, and two wounded terrorists were later apprehended at a Nablus hospital. Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, head of IDF Central Command, expressed concern about escalation, citing recent incidents including arsons and stabbings, and emphasized ongoing counter-terrorism operations to prevent further violence.
