Former US Vice President Mike Pence denounces alleged arson of Israeli flag in his Indiana hometown

Former US Vice President Mike Pence condemned an alleged arson attack in his hometown of Zionsville, Indiana, which caused an estimated $150,000 in damages to a historic home. Zionsville Mayor John Stehr stated that officials believe the fire, which occurred early Friday morning, began when an individual set fire to an Israeli flag displayed outside the building. The FBI has joined the investigation to determine if the arson "may have been motivated by bias." Pence tweeted, "Absolutely despicable. There can be no tolerance in America for Antisemitism or political acts of violence." Indiana Senator Jim Banks also denounced the incident. On Sunday, the Jewish community in central Indiana held a rally condemning the alleged arson, with organizer David Schiller stating, "we don't do it by firebombing homes."
