Four Israelis arrested after illegal drugs found on party boat near Greek island

Four Israelis were among eight foreign nationals arrested by the Greek Coast Guard on Thursday morning near the island of Lefkada on suspicion of drug possession. The arrests occurred on a private catamaran at the port of Perigiali, where authorities suspected a drug party was taking place. The suspects, who also included Turkish, Italian, Spanish, and Latvian citizens, allegedly violated Greek Law 4139/2013 on addictive substances.

• Authorities seized approximately 56 grams of unprocessed cannabis, 10 grams of methamphetamine, MDMA, 13 ecstasy tablets, and 8.1 grams of cocaine.
• Other items confiscated included cannabis residue, grinders, unidentified pills, and banknotes with cocaine traces.
• Officers also seized €7,000, NIS 3,240, $563, mobile phones, tablets, and a laptop.
• The British-flagged catamaran and all seized items were confiscated by the Lefkada Port Authority, which is conducting the preliminary investigation.
