France to expel two Iranian diplomats in coming days, foreign minister says

France announced it will expel two Iranian diplomats in the coming days as a reciprocal measure following an incident in July where two French embassy staff in Tehran were detained and physically intimidated by Iranian security services. This action follows Iran's decision to bar the two French employees from returning to Iran, with Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei alleging they violated the Vienna Convention by supporting Iranian civil society. France, through spokesperson Pascal Confavreux, denied these "completely false accusations" and accused Iran of fabricating an interference case.
